I'll have a blue, blue Christmas...
...without you.
Quite possibly one of my all time favorite Christmas tunes. I *heart* Elvis (until I listen to him so much I go into Elvis overload and have to layoff for awhile). Like ya'll wanted to know that right?
This hound dog is dressed in blue to let you know he'll have a blue Christmas without you too.

Restocking
I am doing my best to restock breeds that have been sold out in the last month. Here are a few listed tonight:Chihuahua
I'll be listing more throughout the week, so check back if you're planning some after turkey shopping! Look for a golden retriever, boston terrier, english mastiff, welsh pembroke corgis, yorkie, collie, and more!
Grace's New Coat
Well, I put together a nice fleece and berber blanket for Gracie last night using the guidelines from Abby-K9's blog post and I am SUPER impressed! Overall it fits her extremely well and she really seems to enjoy wearing it. Grace has NEVER worn an article of dog clothing before in her life, but the cold weather has begun especially early this year, and while she's never had much of a winter coat to start, the fact that she's getting a little older is making it a bit harder to stay warm (she will be 6 years old in a few months). I am so proud of her for not trying to rip it off and shred it! And her 'sister' is even leaving it alone...though I think she may be a bit jealous. Ruthie has no need for a blanket coat, but I may have to make her a lightweight one anyway. heheMy plan is to make another, more durable and weather-proof blanket in the next couple of weeks. This one will suffice for now, but there are a few pattern improvements I'd like to make as well as adding a waterproof outer layer and removable inner fleece layer (so I can wash it). Oh! Almost forgot to mention this little project cost me about $8 bucks to make...can't beat that!

Baby, it's COLD outside!
Well the cold weather is here and you may be looking for a nice, and handmade way, to keep your dog warm this winter. Well, I think I may have found the perfect solution in this 'how-to' dog blanket!Abby is a GSD who needed a winter blanket and her owner came up with this idea. It actually looks MUCH nicer than ANYTHING I've seen in the stores or online. Even seems to fit better since it's made specifically to the dog....and you can do it yourself! I'm going to make one for my dog, Grace. I'll post pics of the finished product and her modeling it soon.

New Favorite
Here are a few 'new favorites' out of my most recent week of customs.
This lovely little frog is a new fav cause I didn't have to paint it! Waa Hoo!
It's been a long week and I've got a lot more to do. I'm thankful for the work, but I'll be glad when it's complete and I can start to enjoy the seasonal festivities. I'd like to get some Christmas shopping started- what little I'll be doing anyway.
This afternoon is going to find me making the rounds at the craft supply stores, gathering supplies and maybe catching a few brainwaves for some new ideas.
Well...until next we meet!

I just can't decide!!
I've been searching Etsy for a Nermal's first cat collar and I just can't seem to make up my mind. I've narrowed my search down to two sellers, at least...Here's what I've got in my 'favorites' right now:
Just not sure which I like the best. Heck, I've even included a Canadian flag print and I'm not even Canadian! What tha tootie?
On a side note: Last week I thought that I had lost forever a special ring that my Dad and Step-Mom had given me as a gift. I was pretty bummed out, then I got a convo this morning...apparently the ring slipped off while I was packing orders and has traveled all the way to Massachusetts (it has just struck me what an odd word that is)! I am soo thankful that there are STILL honest people in the world. Go visit MadeByAshley over on etsy- she's got great jewelry and DEFINITELY deserves your business!

THANK YOU VETERANS
Thank you to my Dad, who served his country in the Vietnam War and for MANY more years after in the Army National Guard, retiring as a Command Sargent Major. He makes me proud to be an American. And thank-you to every other veteran, men and women, who have served and are serving this country valiantly and with honor. Godspeed to you.

Twitter and Flickr
Okay, I'm all for expanding my vocabulary, but there's just something about the 'words' Twitter and Flickr that seems inherently wrong. Atrocious spelling and slang notwithstanding (throwing those in for free...expand your mind), I am now a member of both.
Yes, that's correct, you may now peruse my art on Flickr and see just exactly what I'm up to on Twitter. Aren't you excited? I can feel your virtual enthusiasm oozing through my monitor. ;) Seriously though, come on over and check me out and then I'll come and check you out! It's a win-win situ-a-mation. :)

Holiday Meltdown
Okay no, it's not what you think. I'm not having a mental meltdown over the upcoming holiday, just feeling a little mushy and melty 'cause I'm listening to Harry Connick Jr sing 'Baby It's Cold Outside'. Yup, definitely NOT cold in here!
I had a really great day yesterday in terms of getting a lot of work done. I finished up this cake topper for an agility competition dog who is 'retiring' in December.
And worked up this cute little hairless guinea pig. Who woulda thunk something without fur could be so darn cute!

My Favorite Things
I have to admit that I really like 'The Sound of Music'. Sue me. It's just enchanting and one of my favorite parts is when Julie Andrews sings, "My Favorite Things"...In fact I just like that song period, movie or not. (By the way, if you're a fan of the song too, check out Anita Baker's version, and Andy Williams as well!)
SO, in honor of my favorite song, I've decided to [attempt] list some of my favorite things from other sellers on Etsy...If you see something you'd like to check out, just go to ETSY and do a 'SELLERS: USER NAME search- it's in the scroll down list at the search bar. (Sorry folks, I'm not a techno-geek...I dunno how to make the screen shot linkable to each item.)

Here's three plus one for good ol' hump day! :)And just 'cause this seems to be my week for posting videos...
