New Style

I've been mulling over a new sculpting style and decided to work up a few dogs using the new ideas. I'm hoping they will lend a bit more realism to my work...the first two candidates were a dalmatian and a boxer.

This lab has been playing around in my head with that tennis ball for a while now, so I thought I would make a figurine out of him. I think it's also a good comparrision to the newer style dogs as well. I'm not going to stop doing these type dogs, just vary a little back and forth.
Max here was really excited about going trick-or-treating with his human family until he realized that HE was the who would be wearing the hot dog costume.

Is it fall yet?

Man! The heat is really beginning to wear on me for sure. I don't know why, it's not like I haven't lived in it every summer for the last 30 years, but whew-wee, IT'S HOT!

I am SOOOOO ready for fall. I'm already thinking up ways to dress up my dogs, both real and clay, for Halloween. I really wanna dress Grace (the catahoula) and Ruthie (husky mix) up as a chicken and an egg, but I'm not so sure how well that would go over...with them. What may be even funnier is to dress one as a chicken and I'll be the egg. Ruthie could be a bee, since she fancies them so.

I've already begun putting dogs in clay costumes, making a pooch donning a hot dog yesterday. I'll post pictures soon.

Well, today promises to be another zapper. Temps in the high 90's with that darned humidity.

Woofs to everyone. I'll be back when the air conditioner cuts on! :)

By the way...if you're looking to have your pet done in time for Christmas, NOW is the time to start planning and inquiring. I get booked up fast and my request deadline will be sooner this year due to the workload.
