Critter Valentines

Now you can send your favorite critters to your favorite people as Valentine cards!
I think they'd be super cute to hand out in a small group or at the office or such.

Sunday to Sunday Sale

I need room in my studio and room in my shop for a new look and concept so that means I'm having a sale! From today, Sunday the 18th to next Sunday the 25th, ALL ornaments and select figurines have been marked down to 1/2 the original price. Some of the figurines are even marked down half of their former sale prices. This is a great opportunity to get something cute for yourself or as a gift! Hope to see you there!

In the works...

I've got two new sculptures in the planning stages:
'Dog Paddle' and 'High Speed Hounds'....stay tuned!
In the mean time you can find the Frenchies on ebay and English bully in my etsy shop. I think they'd make great Valentine gifts and are nice enough to display year round. :)

A New Look

With the new year has come a new look for the site! Hurray! I hope you'll find it welcoming and user friendly. It may take a moment longer to load, but I think it's worth it.

Well things are getting back to normal around here for the most part. I took down the Christmas tree and decorations this morning. Nermal the kitten assisted by climbing the tree and knocking it over- hence removing ornaments.
Work will resume in the studio full time on Monday. I hope to have some new work in the shop by next Friday with some special pieces for the upcoming Valentines holiday. I'm thinking I may have to do a ground hog tribute as well. Woodchucks (ground hogs aka whistle pigs) are WAY underrated creatures. Sure they look like a giant rat and a beaver had a love child, but on the other hand they bring a lot of media attention to Punxsutawney, PA. And who woulda ever heard of that place if not for the ground hog?

Alrighty then...that turned into an odd ramble. I think the cookie dough I just ate is going to my head. (Yuck.)

In other news:
This little ornament is based on a Delta Society therapy dog.

Beam me up, Scottie!

Okay, just ignore the trekie reference and check out these pooches...Most of these are local commissions with the exception of a few, including the 'Hurley' doubles here. Hurley lives in the great northern frontier of Canada. (Let's face it, anywhere north of the Mason Dixon line for a southerner is a northern frontier.)

I feel like an Elf on speed...

I have been so busy! Not as busy as I have been, but busy none-the-less. I like that word...busy...At ANY rate, looks like all my Christmas customs will be out and on their way on Monday. Hurray!

In other news: We've been deluged here the last few days. I was beginning to wonder if building an ark would be a lucrative idea. But the rain did finally end yesterday evening and right at dusk a beautiful rainbow appeared. I'll have to post some photos...And how 'bout that snow in Louisiana!?? What in the world!?

While I'm here I'm going to post a few pics of two ornaments I just finished.

(It's a pit bull and a lopp bunny, incase you were wondering... ;) )

Counting down the days...

Christmas is coming and this little elf is working her hiney off! The plan is to get all remaining custom orders out by December 15th. Yes. I'm going to do it.

By the way, I'm no longer accepting custom orders for 2008, but if you'd like to get on the books for the New Year, please let me know! I'd be happy to pencil you in!

Well I'm off- but here is a lovely pine warbler to brighten your day!

I'll have a blue, blue Christmas...

...without you.
Quite possibly one of my all time favorite Christmas tunes. I *heart* Elvis (until I listen to him so much I go into Elvis overload and have to layoff for awhile). Like ya'll wanted to know that right?
This hound dog is dressed in blue to let you know he'll have a blue Christmas without you too.

I had to take a break from sculpting and saw that I received this 'appreciation photo' in my etsy feedback this morning...this is Newton the Guinea Pig with his clay counterpart! Guinea piggies are just so darn cute. *heart* Thanks to KraftyKatinaBoutique for leaving such nice feedback and the sweet photo to boot. ;) By the way...check out her SUPER DUPER CUTE plushies in her other shop too!

I just can't decide!!

I've been searching Etsy for a Nermal's first cat collar and I just can't seem to make up my mind. I've narrowed my search down to two sellers, at least...Here's what I've got in my 'favorites' right now:
Just not sure which I like the best. Heck, I've even included a Canadian flag print and I'm not even Canadian! What tha tootie?

On a side note: Last week I thought that I had lost forever a special ring that my Dad and Step-Mom had given me as a gift. I was pretty bummed out, then I got a convo this morning...apparently the ring slipped off while I was packing orders and has traveled all the way to Massachusetts (it has just struck me what an odd word that is)! I am soo thankful that there are STILL honest people in the world. Go visit MadeByAshley over on etsy- she's got great jewelry and DEFINITELY deserves your business!

My Favorite Things

I have to admit that I really like 'The Sound of Music'. Sue me. It's just enchanting and one of my favorite parts is when Julie Andrews sings, "My Favorite Things"...In fact I just like that song period, movie or not. (By the way, if you're a fan of the song too, check out Anita Baker's version, and Andy Williams as well!)
SO, in honor of my favorite song, I've decided to [attempt] list some of my favorite things from other sellers on Etsy...If you see something you'd like to check out, just go to ETSY and do a 'SELLERS: USER NAME search- it's in the scroll down list at the search bar. (Sorry folks, I'm not a techno-geek...I dunno how to make the screen shot linkable to each item.)
